EYES

My eyes look far beyond ,

Beyond the horizon,

Beyond the deepest ocean,

the highest mountain ,

The widest desert ,

But ......what do they want to see ?



Why they dont look at anything

why keep searching , for what ,

Who is it they want to seek ,

What is that they want ?



Why nothing brings the glow of life in them ,

Why a tear stands ready to drop !

Why questions are more than answers in them

Why they wander in an endless search !



Why the search seems futile at times ,

Why suddenly a ray of hope shimmers ,

Why then a curtain falls again ,

Why the search seems again in vain ?



Is it a person you seek ?

Or a forgotten place ,

A past memory or a fiorgotten face ,

A story , a song , a friend an enemy ?

What is it you seek , what is it you want ,

Before you get into eternal sleep ...

Will the glow of life shine once again ?
