Starry Skies !

Curious as a child , waiting for a miracle 

I stand at my window , impatient and ready  

A lone moon beam peeps from behind the clouds 

 Teasing me , as i try hard to hold my gaze steady .

Where are your friends hiding today ?

Why Not one of them to be seen ?

Come and take away this darkness 

The night today seems very mean !

The moon beam goes hiding again 

As a cloud leisurely walks by 

Haughty and proud , she slows down 

And then drifts away with a sigh ! 

Her sisters litter the southern skies 

Making it dark and silent  

The wind seems moody , as he passes by 

 As the dark sisters get violent .

They clash like warriors in the sky

 The thunder sounds the war drums loud 

And then it pours and sends forth 

Nectar from each cloud .

Then slowly comes along again ,

The wind moody no more ,

And cajoles the warring sisters 

Away across the shore .

As i wait with bated breath ,

There peeping coy and shy  

Little twinkling miracles

Now start to fill the sky !!! 

Divine Miracles of nature ,

Or lights from heaven you are ,

Starry skies I look at thee , 

Heaven seems not so Far .
