Grey Hairs & Silent Tears.

For all those who believe that a senior person or an aged person must be respected No matter what, i dare to say I disagree.
There are so many more aspects to a persons character than his Age.
Age sometimes hides the most sinister personas and vile creatures deep inside. And they thrive in the knowledge that the world blindly trusts and respects them no matter what.
They revel in the joy that their thoughts no matter how wicked or cruel or disgusting are not read by the eyes blinded by forced respect.
They rejoice in the feeling that their actions no matter how wrong are forgiven or even ignored by the mind that is trained to focus only on the seniority and the number of grey hairs .
Indian households in particular make u drink a bitter mixture of Forced cultures, Masked adjustments, Moral policing and unwarranted Values that after a period of time become a part of your blood . Difficult to ignore and impossible to disobey.
Elders of the house must be foundations of strong untainted characters, of the changes that we need desperately from the old and harsh customs, of the trust and the belief that the younger generations thrive on.
Elders in our society should be places to go to for our solutions rather than becoming the Problems themselves.
When they get so low in morality themselves and stoop to the level of vermin , when they molest their own grandchildren and their neighbours daughter , when they unabashedly differentiate between their own daughter and their daughter-in-laws and treat the latter as bonded labourers or Slaves... does the society agree still to blindly respect them for their age !!?
How can we allow our tongues to be silenced and our minds to freeze just because the wrong doer is a senior person ?
Mentally or Physically - Wrongs are wrongs ... anyday, any time , any place ... damn those who tell you otherwise.
Age is exactly just a number. Respect needs to be given based on so much more.
Voice the wrongs in the loudest voices, let the world hear you. Let those who keep silent and suffer just to appease a sadistic society, be thrown to the wolves. In a huge crowd there will be atleast one who stands with you and fights with you.
From a newborn to an elder ... you need to earn your respect and you need to be worthy of it.
